Services
Systems engineering services

Quotec provides client support for safety, reliability, maintainability, availability, sustainment, design and certification assurance, and related activities. We consider all these engineering topics as life cycle subjects. We use systems thinking, including interfaces, and interactions, for updating RAMS models for AI V&V, and coordination with the CVEs. Experience includes fixed-wing, rotary-wing, VTOL/VCA traditional technologies to hybrid-electric typographies, novel and unusual designs.
Safety
Quotec provide safety risk assessments and analysis for aeronautical products as a team effort. We maximize utilization of  safety intelligence. Methods include: AFHA, PASA, SFHA, PSSA, SSA, FTA, CMA, ZHA, PRA to SAE ARP4761™A, ASTM F3230, and CS/Parts 23/25/27/29, RTCA DO-Series as required. We support SMSs, identifying safety critical items, functions, qualitative and quantitative objectives for requirements definition, or evaluation of CONOPS, RFI, RFP. AI and certification assurance is addressed and integrated with existing methodologies to support CVEs.
Reliability
For managing uncertainty we provide reliability modelling, analysis, allocation, prediction, recording, normalizing, and reporting. R-requirements are identified with appropriate measures for mechanical, electrical, electronic hardware and software, (MTTF, FR (λ), Probability of Success (Ps), unreliability (Q). We assist setting reliability objectives for requirements, or evaluation of CONOPS, RFI, RFP. Analysis down to board level is supported. In-service reliability is supported with: data standardization, recording, normalizing, and intelligence. As required Root Cause Analysis is done to Test-Analyse-Fix-Test reliability issues.   
Maintainability
For system to equipment, we assist or provide complete maintenance policies (repair/replace), strategies, and processes, design for maintenance to hazard rate, λ(t). Maintenance subject include: time distributions, scheduled, unscheduled, MTTR, predictive maintenance, periodicities planning, value engineering. Technology considerations include: mechanical, electrical, electronics, software, BIT, condition monitoring, prediction: MTTR = Σ(λtr)/Σλ. Our solutions support maintainability inputs for drafting requirements, or evaluation of CONOPS, RFI, RFP.
Availability
For realistic availability we aim for minimizing down time, and modelling from duty cycles to availability, Ao, Aa, Ai, A(∞).  We aim to provide transparent readiness. We include supportability, and effectiveness relationships (humans, services). Availability basis, is down time, or time interval. Related metrics used are: MDT, MTBM, MTTF, and clarity on the use of MTBF. Project inputs for requirements, or evaluation of CONOPS, RFI, RFP.
Sustainment
We provide sustainment services based on life cycle principles, management, stages, processes, using IPS, ASD S-Series, resource modelling, ISO 15288, ARP4754™B, AAP48. Information quality is essential, and we use ASD S1000D, or ATA iSpec2200 for best practice reports and publications production, including focused language skills, i.e., Plain English, Controlled Technical English, Simplified Technical English. Additionally we provide through-life support analysis, and Life Cycle Costing.
Related services
In support of our core skills and services, we provide additional systems engineering services, considering a client's mission, operating environment, e.g., organization approvals, such as EASA DOA, and FAA Design Approval Holder. We scope from ICAO policies, and Recommended Practices, to project CONOPS, any Safety Management System to provide "fit for purpose" processes and applicable metrics. Data capture, library and information science, taxonomies, dictionaries, glossaries for projects are included. Essential aeronautical product configuration management is included, considering information as an asset with value engineering.
We work with industry and in-house developed tools. Examples are: Isograph Reliability Workbench, Quanterion Automated Reliability Toolkit, QuARTER, ROADS Reliability Online Automated Databook System (NPRD, EPRD, FMD), Arbortext Editor, Smart Communications Inc. MAXit. For economy and useability, we employ the MS Office Professional Suite, including Project and Adobe Acrobat Professional. Data exchanges is with Excel/CSV, defined PDF templates, and MBSE/SysML. In-house tools include an Action Items Database, Safety Workbook, and an IPS Database.
